Green Guy Recycling is contracted by the City of San Marcos to operate a public drop-off center. Our clean, well-lit, drop-off center is available 24/7 to San Marcos residents. Review the information below to see what is accepted and what is not accepted.

Used batteries can be dropped off 24/7. If dropped off outside business hours, there is no payment received.  

Motor Oil

It is illegal to dispose of used motor oil incorrectly. GGR recycles used motor oil properly. It can be dropped off 24/7. Up to 5 gallons and for residential use only. No commercial dumping.

Oil Filters

Used oil filters can be dropped off 24/7. Please drain oil filters prior to drop off. If dropped off outside of business hours, there is a fee box located on the fence.
